JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - A Region 8 woman has been charged with human trafficking.
Amber Nicole Johnson, 28, of Wynne is accused of forcing two girls, ages 14 and 17, into performing sexual acts for money.
According to court records, the 14-year-old victim ran away from her foster home in November 2014.
Police say she traveled to Jonesboro with Johnson who "prostituted" the child.
The victim told investigators "she was having sexual intercourse with four to six men each day," the affidavit said.
Investigators say Johnson received $40 to $50 for each encounter.
An Arkansas State Police Crimes Against Children investigator interviewed the victim and her 17-year-old sister who confirmed that Johnson had prostituted both girls.
The older girl reported the incidents "occurred in Jonesboro hotels, including the Deluxe Inn," located at 402 S. Gee St.
The detective confirmed Johnson had rented a room at the motel during the time reported, the court documents stated.
Johnson was arrested on Thursday, April 30, at a motel in Little Rock. According to the Associated Press, police found a 15-year-old girl being held in the room.
Johnson is currently being held in lieu of a $250,000 surety bond at the Craighead County Detention Center. She is due in circuit court on June 29.
