Suspected fairgrounds shooter in custody

BLYTHEVILLE, AR (KAIT) - A man suspected in a shooting is now in custody.

Alma Cortez Brown surrendered to the Blytheville Police Department with his attorney around 10:30 a.m. Thursday, according to Capt. Scott Adams.

Police issued an arrest warrant for Brown Wednesday.

Brown was wanted for second degree battery, aggravated assault and terroristic act following the shooting that occurred on May 2 during a carnival.

One person received minor injuries and 2 vehicles were damage as a result of the shooting police stated.

A temporary bond has been set a $100,000 and arraignment is set for May 12.
