Police: No injuries in Jonesboro crash between 18-wheeler and van

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - No one was injured after a major crash reported at a Jonesboro intersection.

According to Jonesboro police Sgt. George Martin the crash happened at the intersection of Highland Drive and Rogers Chapel. Officers were called to the crash around 12:50 p.m. Wednesday.

A white van pulling a trailer heading west on Highland and an 18-wheeler, also pulling a trailer, heading north on Rogers collided police said.

Martin said a man in the van was trapped and had to be cut out. However, both drivers did not sustain injuries in the crash. 

A medical helicopter was called to the scene as a precaution.

No further details were released about what might have caused the crash.
