JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Residents and visitors to Jonesboro will soon have a new place to dine.

On the Border Mexican Grill & Cantina, a Tex-Mex casual dining restaurant, will be located at the corner of Red Wolf Boulevard and Fairview.

Haag Brown Commercial announced the addition on Friday. Joshua Brown and Greg Haag, co-owners and principals, said they are excited with the development.

“We have completed 8 projects on this block of Red Wolf Boulevard over the course of the last 36 months,” said Brown. “And this was the most challenging.”

Haag added that he is excited about the economic impact the transaction will have on the city.

“We are replacing 10 rent houses with 4 businesses that will employ over 100 people and generate several million dollars in annual sales tax revenue,” Haag said.

According to its website, On the Border Mexican Grill & Cantina is known for its hand-pressed tortillas, chips and fresh guacamole.

The Jonesboro restaurant will be the company's fifth location in Arkansas.
