ABC fines stores for selling to minors

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Several Region 8 businesses were fined recently for selling alcohol to minors.

Jordan's Kwik Stop #37, 1215 North Falls Blvd., and Jordan's Kwik Stop #3, 205 South Falls Blvd., in Wynne were each fined $400 and placed on 90 days probation, according to the Department of Finance Administration's Alcoholic Beverage Control board website.

Jordan's Kwik Stop #14, 130 Hwy. 135 North in Lepanto, was also fined $300 and placed on 90 days probation for selling alcohol to a minor.

For not submitting a timely change of manager application, Walmart Supercenter #62, Hwy. 18 East in Blytheville, was fined $100 and placed on 30 days probation.

In related news the ABC board approved Reginald Prunty's request to change the name of En'Vision, located at 1025 West Johnson, to Legend 1025.

The board also approved Danny R. Langston's request for a new private club class A-wet county permit for Dan's Duck In, 1611 Linwood Drive in Paragould.

The board also approved the following new permits for retail beer:

  • T&C Sportsman's Liquor, 396 Hwy. 63, Ravenden
  • Tobacco Superstore #70, 910A West Keiser, Osceola
