JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Nettleton's Adrian Burnett signed on Wednesday to play basketball at the collegiate level after searching for the right fit for months.
Burnett and his family finally settled on Oklahoma Wesleyan University in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. The school is located just a few hours west of the Arkansas/Oklahoma border.
The Eagles are getting a solid play maker that has shown his skills on the floor for Mark McCord and his Nettleton Raiders team for the past few seasons. Burnett brings a good combination of size and speed that will be valuable to OKWU's team in the future.
Burnett said his family searched for the right collegiate fit for a while, and knew OKWU offered what he needed. "The program is really great, it's a small college but they have what I look for in a college," said Burnett, "The sports management, it's really great and it's just so overwhelming, they really want you to be there and want you to be successful and everything."
