CLAY COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - - The Clay County Sheriff said a funnel cloud may have touched down in a field in Region 8 Sunday evening.

Sheriff Terry Miller said there was no damage reported with this storm.

"The funnel cloud was spotted by one of the Arkansas Methodist Hospital ambulance units out on 135 at the Hwy 90 intersection. Just on the ground for a few seconds," Sheriff Miller said. "Then went back up tried to reformulate a couple times but failed to do it. I can only think of three or four homes in that area where they were talking about."

As of right now, it is not officially confirmed if the funnel cloud actually touched the ground.
