JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Surrounded by family, friends, coaches, and everyone having breakfast at Front Page Cafe in Jonesboro on Thursday morning, Arizona Sharp signed his letter of intent to play college athletics.
Sharp has played multiple sports for Harrisburg over the past few seasons but Thursday was all about his baseball abilities. He signed with Williams Baptist College and Coach Frank Lee to join the Eagles Baseball Team.
"I've been working ever since I was seven playing baseball machine pitch," said Sharp, "No one gave me a chance when I was younger and I started working hard with Dad asking if I could go outside and everything." On Thursday all that hard work payed off for Sharp.
He'll join a team that just made its first postseason appearance in twelve seasons and is returning some core talent from that team. Sharp is the second player to sign with Williams Baptist College in as many days after Walnut Ridge's Layne Ditto inked with the Eagles on Wednesday morning.
