Woman sought on murder charge in Monday shooting

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Police have issued a warrant for the arrest of a woman in connection to a deadly shooting Monday.

Jonesboro detectives are looking for Tonisha Mitchell, 21, of Jonesboro.

Mitchell is wanted on a capital murder warrant issued in the shooting death of Nelson McCullough, according to Paul Holmes with JPD .

McCullough was shot and killed inside his home at 1312 West Monroe Ave. Officers were told that two men came to the door of the home, were allowed to come in, shot McCullough and then fled the scene.

Detectives obtained the warrant as a result of the investigation and additional arrests are anticipated, Holmes said.

Anyone with information about Mitchell's whereabouts is asked to call Jonesboro Police Department Detectives Vic Brooks or Jason Simpkins at 935-6710.
