LITTLE ROCK, AR - A state Senator wants to honor B.B. King with a monument in the Crittenden County town of Twist.  A dance hall brawl in the tiny Delta town was the inspiration for King to name his beloved guitars "Lucille."

State Senator Steve Bryles of Blytheville said he listened to King's albums and wants to commemorate the Arkansas B.B. King connection with the plaque in Twist.  The Democrat said eastern Arkansas is rich with cultural gems that have yet to be discovered and shared with others.

The bill requires the Arkansas History Commission to erect a permanent marker in the town.  Bryles expects the Senate to vote on the measure tomorrow.

The senator is hoping it will add to the development of cultural tourism in the state.
