Cut-a-thon held Sunday to benefit Region 8 baby with heart disease

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

A cut-a-thon will be held Sunday to benefit a Region 8 baby who has already had one of three expected heart surgeries.

Chandler Ann Wall was born April 26 to Brandon and Lauren Wall at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro.

Just 2 days later, she was flown to Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock where she was diagnosed with a coronary heart disease called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome.

On May 1, Chandler underwent the first of 3 open heart surgeries she will need.

All proceeds from Sunday’s event will go to the Wall family to help with medical bills and expenses.

Men’s and boy’s haircuts will cost $10.

Haircuts for women and girls will cost $15.

There will also be a raffle that tickets can be purchased for.

The event lasts from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at 3 salon locations in Jonesboro.
