Deputies investigating reported rape

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

The Craighead County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a woman’s claims a man forced his way into her home and raped her.

The alleged incident occurred Monday at a home on County Road 740, according to the initial incident report.

The woman told officers a “large, unknown black male came to her residence stating that he was there to fix her water.”

The man then pushed her into the house and told her he had been watching her home for several days, the report stated.

The woman said the man “held a small handgun to her head and made her smoke an unknown substance out of a pipe,” the report said.

After smoking the substance, the woman claimed the man made her take off all of her clothes and get in bed. That is when he assaulted her, according to the report.

The woman claimed the man “hear a noise outside” and told her he was leaving; but, if she told anyone, he said he would kill her and her family.

The woman then called her husband and he took her to a local hospital.
