CRAIGHEAD COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - An accident on a rural Craighead County road leads to an arrest.
34 year-old Jonathon B. Poynor is facing charges of aggravated assault after he allegedly side-swiped another driver on purpose.
According to the incident report filed with the Craighead County Sheriff's Department, it happened Wednesday night on County Road 114.
In the report, it states Poynor saw his girlfriend get into the truck of another man and gave chase.
The report says Poynor passed the other vehicle and slowed down in front of it in an attempt to get it to stop.
The report states Poynor made the same move a second time, hitting the other vehicle on the side.
Poynor's girlfriend stated in the report she was "in fear for her life".
No injuries were reported.
Poynor told the arresting deputy that "he should not have followed them and done what he did".
Poynor's next court date has not been released at this time.
