Region 8 children are having a blast during their summer break at Crowley’s Ridge State Park.
The park has been hosting the Discovery Day Camp all week.
Kids are learning to “unplug” and learn about nature.
“We don't use computers, no phones, no iPads, no movies, no nothing,” said Elizabeth Whaley, park interpreter. “This is strictly being outside and enjoying the outdoors and getting the kids back outside where they need to be.”
The children also visited the Powhatan State Park and the Jonesboro Nature Center.
The day camp ended on Thursday, but it will return next summer.
