PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) - Friday night will be another big night of the summer at Crowley's Ridge Raceway. Big names, big races, and big time fun will all be a part of the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series event.
It'll be the second time this particular event has happened at The Ridge, a big crowd was there last time and is expected to be the same this year. "You need to get here as early as possible because the seating is going to fill up fast," said Chris Ellis, organizer of the event.
Racing is scheduled to begin at 7:30 on Friday night.
A big draw for the evening to race fans is the volume of racers that will be on the dirt at The Ridge. "It's going to be really cool," Ellis said, "We're going to have 30 plus late models."
Ellis said that people will recognize many of the names in the competition as well. "We're going to have some really well known people," he said, "Wendell Wallace, probably a future Hall of Famer in the dirt late model racing."
There will be some big money race cars running the oval at Crowley's Ridge Raceway on Friday night, Ellis added that it will be noticeable. "One of the biggest things is the dollars expended on the cars they race," he told Region 8 Sports, "Most of the machines we run are 800 horsepower."
Along with Super Late Model racing, fans will see Modifieds, Street Stock, and Mini-Modifieds.
