*FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY: Wednesday, 2-3" of snow in RIC, higher amounts with 4"-6" possible south and southwest of RIC, closer to the NC border
*Snow tapers by late afternoon from northwest to southeast
*Warmer temperatures into the weekend

WEDNESDAY: FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY: Snow tapers late afternoon and evening from west to east. 2-3" of snow in RIC. Highest amounts up to 4-6" south and southwest of RIC. 1-2" east and north of RIC. Secondary side streets could be snow covered, main roads are mainly wet. Refreezing could impact travel later tonight and overnight. Highs in the low 30s. (Snow Chance: 100%)

4pm: Light Snow Showers, 27°
6pm: Light Snow Showers, 26°

THURSDAY: Refreezing of roads possible, especially on the secondary roads. Use extra caution if you have to travel during the morning otherwise mostly sunny, breezy and cold. Lows in the mid teens, highs near 40°.

FRIDAY: Mostly sunny and warmer. Lows in the mid 20s, highs in the upper 40s.

SATURDAY: Mostly sunny and mild. Lows in the mid 20s, highs in the mid 50s.
