Fall fashion to be highlighted at fundraiser for Arkansas Children’s Hospital

The annual Phi Mu fall fashion show is so popular, no tickets are sold at the door.

“We’ll have Lundie’s, Steamroller, Chico’s, Enhancements, Darlings, Fabrik, Fringe, David’s Bridal, Glo and Gearhead represented this year,” said Dr. Beverly Gilbert.

Tickets can only be purchased by calling Aylia Poston at 870-932-5125.

“As a collegiate Phi Mu and as an alumna, we have always been committed to community service and philanthropic activities,” said Emily Devereux.  “In fact, we were the first sorority to have an national philanthropic day and we have just always kept that community service spirit going and this is a way that we give back. We’re helping Arkansas Children’s Hospital; but we’re always giving back local to St. Bernards Pediatric wing and also to NEA Baptist Pediatric wing. There’s lots of little lives touched in this area.”

The fashion show will be hosted at the Cooper Alumni Center on Thursday, August 6.

“We have wonderful support from the community. So many local businesses and industries will support us,” said Dr. Gilbert. “Everyone always enjoys waiting to see if their name is going to be called for a door prize.”

Phi Mu is the second oldest female fraternal organization established in the United States.
