New business to offer painting classes with wine

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Learn to paint while sipping a nice glass of pinot or chardonnay.

That’s the premise of Pinot’s Palette, 2617 E. Nettleton, in Jonesboro.

According to its website, Pinot’s Palette will be an “upscale destination” where people can “Paint. Drink. Have Fun.”

Mandy and Nicholas Bashaw hope to open their new business by Nov. 1.

Last week in Little Rock, they applied for a Private Club Class A permit from the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board.

“We will hold regular classes on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6:30 to 9:30,” Mandy Bashaw said in an email to Region 8 News. “We will also be open on Saturday mornings for class from 10:30 to 1 p.m.”

Pinot’s Palette will have 2 studios. The main studio will seat up to 50 people and the other will hold up to 12 painters, Bashaw said.

In addition to the classes, they will serve a limited menu and cater private parties.

They expect to hire 15 employees: 10 artists, 2-3 bartenders and 2 cooks.

They are currently accepting applications for artists.
