16 A-State student-athletes receive degrees

JONESBORO, AR (A-State) – Arkansas State University held its 2015 Summer Commencement ceremony Friday evening at the Convocation Center, and 16 student-athletes from the Red Wolves' 16 NCAA intercollegiate sports have now earned their college degrees.

The most recent group of A-State student-athletes to receive their diplomas represented the sports of baseball, football, men's track and field, women's basketball and women's track and field.

Among the latest graduating class of Red Wolves, two football student-athletes (Tres Houston and TeDarius Turner), and one member of the women's basketball team (Aundrea Gamble) and men's track and field team (Billy Ellis) still have eligibility remaining and will compete for A-State during the 2015-16 seasons.

The student-athletes who graduated Friday night included:

Travis Bodenstein (football), Richard Chavez (men's track and field), Tanner Gaines (baseball), Tilda Helgesson (women's track and field), Savannah Hutchinson (women's track and field), Frankie Jackson (football), Jasmine Marks (women's track and field), Collin Massanelli (baseball), Heather Newberry (women's track and field), Devin Noel (men's track and field), Rexi Parcells (women's track and field) and Chelsey Roberson (women's track and field).
