JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - The 2015 Cal Ripken World Series kicked off Friday night at Joe Mack Campbell park in Jonesboro.
Friday was the opening ceremonies where the 10 teams from 9 different states were introduced.
Host President for Cal Ripken Randy Bearce said he is excited about what the next 10 days of baseball hold.
"This is just a great opportunity for not only Jonesboro baseball but for the city of Jonesboro as well," Bearce said. "We estimate maybe even a $2 million economic impact for the next 10 days with everyone being in town."
The games start Saturday at 1 p.m.
All games are at Joe Mack Campbell Park.
