WYNNE, AR (KAIT) -

A Wynne man faces multiple felony charges after investigators say he broke into and stole several items from a police car.

Cross County sheriff’s deputies arrested Joseph Bailey, 24, on suspicion of breaking and entering and criminal trespassing.

According to Sheriff J.R. Smith, Bailey “confessed” to breaking into a Wynne Police Department patrol vehicle and stealing several unidentified items.

At the time of his arrest, officers said Bailey brought a bag of meth into the Cross County Jail. As a result, he was also charged with furnishing prohibited articles into a correctional facility and possession of a controlled substance.

He is being held in lieu of $70,000 bond.
