Prayer vigil held for Blytheville's latest victim of gun violence
More than a hundred people gathered at the Prayer Garden in Blytheville Wednesday night to remember the city's most recent victim of gun violence.
"We're praying that a little light is shedded upon this community because of all the senseless murders that have been happening," Derick King told Region 8 News.

King is 19-year-old murder victim Adline King's uncle.

Adline King was shot and killed this weekend in a mass shooting. Eleven others were injured by gunfire that same night.

Family, friends, classmates and victims of the shooting this weekend held balloons, signs and candles in memory of Adline King.
While some sported physical injuries from what happened this weekend, not all wounds were visible.
Adline's mother Arnida spoke to the crowd about the pain too many mothers and fathers have felt because of multiple murders in recent months.
"That was my I need y'all to pray and pray for those mothers that have lost their child," King said. "I used to pray for mothers that lost their child. I didn't understand. I didn't understand the pain that they went through."

The family hopes some closure can come when the person responsible for killing Adline is put behind bars.
Until then, King's mother said she will continue to be an advocate for her daughter and speak out about her murder to keep something like this from happening again.
