DUNKLIN COUNTY, MO (KAIT) -

A Kennett man charged with first degree murder was taken into custody after his bond was revoked in court Wednesday.

According to Circuit Court Judge Robert Mayer's office, when Allan Branum arrived at the Dunklin County Justice Center for court, he was handcuffed and taken out of the courtroom.

Allan Branum was given the ability to travel to Cape Girardeau while he was out on bond.

Judge Robert Mayer told Branum he knew he had not followed the stipulations to travel out of the area.

That is when Judge Mayer told Sheriff Bob Holder to take him back to jail.

Judge Mayer’s office said Branum was released in June on a $1 million bond after being charged with first degree murder and armed criminal action in the killing of his wife in May.

Branum is expected to be in court again on Sept. 9, according to Judge Mayer’s office.
