JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - A retirement party for not one, but two members of law enforcement took place Thursday afternoon.
Jesse Hanks and Arlen Whitley are leaving the Craighead County Sheriffs Department. After serving for almost 40 years, they're saying goodbye.
They were presented with plaques and their service weapons, now engraved with their names and the Craighead County Sheriff's Department logo.
Sheriff Marty Boyd says they'll both be greatly missed.
"You can always replace people, but it's hard to replace knowledge that these two guys have brought to the law enforcement community and to the public," Boyd said.
We want to thank them both for their service to our community.
