NEA District Fair begins Monday

The 2015 Northeast Arkansas District Fair begins Monday, Sept. 21 and lasts until Sat., Sept. 26.

The gates will open to fried food and fair rides at 12 p.m. Monday, with the carnival starting at 4 p.m.

Monday is Buddy Night, so 2 people will be able to ride for the price of 1.

There will be a best liked band contest at the Grandstand at 6:30 p.m., sponsored by MOR Media Incorporated.

Admission to the contest is free with your fair admission.

At 8 p.m., you can enjoy the Rocky Clements Magic Show.

On Tuesday, all Arkansas State University Freshmen are admitted to the fair for free when they show their student IDs.

The midway opens at 4 p.m.

The Fox 104.9 will host the Front Porch Fan Jam at 7:30 pm., at the Grandstand.

This show will feature local artists Ana Catherine DeHart, Cory Jackson and The Justin Heskett Band.

Admission to the show is free with fair entry.

The Rocky Clements Magic Show will begin at 8 p.m. on the Rocky Stage.

Wednesday is dollar day at the fair, which means that the kiddie rides are $1, the major rides are $2 and it will cost $3 for the spectacular rides.

A youth talent contest, presented by The Fox 104.9, will begin at 7 p.m. at the Grandstand.

The Rocky Clements Magic Show will begin at 8 p.m. on the Rocky Stage.

Thursday is Senior Day and Arm Band Night.

Residents who are 65 years and older will be admitted to the fair for free from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Armbands will cost $15 from 4 to 11 p.m.

The gate admission will be $6 for adults and $3 for children.

Thursday is also Gospel Night at the Grandstand.

The Poes will perform at 7 p.m., and His Guys will perform afterward, at around 7:30 p.m.

Friday is children’s day, so all kids 12 years old and under will be admitted to the fair free from 1 to 6 p.m.

The midway opens at 3 p.m.

The Little Miss KFIN, Junior Miss KFIN and KFIN Little Farmer pageant will be sponsored by the East Arkansas Broadcasters Friday night.

The time is still to be determined.

The Rocky Clements Magic Show will also begin at 8 p.m. on the Rocky Stage.

Saturday is the last day of the fair and is Arm Band Day.

There will be a $6 gate admission for everyone and armbands will be $20 on the midway.

Ken Yarbrough and the South 40 Band will begin their concert at 6 p.m. at the Grandstand.

That is sponsored by Central Chevrolet Cadillac Buick GMC Day at the Fair.

T.G. Sheppard will be in concert at the Grandstand at 7 p.m.

Admission to both concerts is free with fair admission.
