JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

A dispute between three people ended with an arrest after a witness said a man chased two with a knife.

A Jonesboro police report states that on on Monday afternoon officers were called to the area of W. Huntington Ave. and Walnut St. The call referred to a man with a knife.

Officer John Shipman stated in the report that Misty Thomas and Andy Thomas had called 911 stating that a man identified as Kenneth Gilmore of Jonesboro "had pulled a knife on them and threatened to get a gun."

Shipman located the victims and the suspect near W. Huntington and Nisbett St.

The officer states that Gilmore was coming in his direction in "an aggressive manner."

When Gilmore continued in the officer's direction after commands to stop had failed, the officer pulled out his Taser and pointed it at the suspect.

Gilmore complied with commands to stop.

He was then placed in handcuffs.

Other officers arrived on scene and located a large, lock-blade knife near Gilmore's residence in a trailer.

Officer Nathan Oliver states a witness told him Gilmore did indeed chase the victims with the knife.

Misty Thomas reportedly told Officer Gary McClard her husband confronted Gilmore after a conversation about her identification being left in a friend's purse at Gilmore's residence.

The police report indicates Gilmore was arrested on a felony charge of aggravated assault.
