JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

One man is behind bars for theft after he admitted to police that he stole an elderly man’s credit card.

The victim’s son contacted the Jonesboro Police Department Monday to report that his elderly father’s credit cards were missing.

He said that one of the cards had a $25 purchase at Razor Vapes that the victim did not make.

The man also told police that he had watched the surveillance camera recordings from Razor Vapes and said the person making the purchase looked like Benjamin William Drake, 34, of Paragould.

According to court documents, Drake was the victim’s caregiver.

Later that day, Drake came to the Jonesboro Police Department to turn himself in.

During an interview, Drake admitted to taking the victim’s credit card and his prescription for Hydrocodone on Saturday.

He is charged for theft of property, fraudulent use of a credit card and theft of $1,000 or less.

Drake is expected back in court on Sep. 30.
