WALNUT RIDGE, AR (KAIT) - You may have eaten on a plane before, flying from here to there, but a local restaurant has remained "grounded" for a unique dining experience.
The experience of eating in a Southwest Boeing 737 at the Parachute Inn Restaurant in Walnut Ridge has gotten the attention of a website focused on food blogging.
Website Tabelog put the restaurant at #3 on their list of "The 9 Wackiest Restaurants in America" in July.
"Slightly renovated on the inside, diners still sit on actual airplane seats in front of full-sized tables. Parachute Inn is also known for its seafood, catfish and even in-house cut steaks and of course... free peanuts," Tabelog stated in their list.
Parachute Inn Restaurant is located at the Walnut Ridge Airport, 10 Sky Watch.
Famous Missouri restaurant, Lambert's Cafe in Ozark also made the list at #6. They are known for their "throwed rolls."
