JONESBORO, AR (astateredwolves.com) – The Arkansas State Athletics Department will conduct its annual License to Howl promotion Saturday, Aug. 22, from 8-11 a.m., while also holding Family Night later the same day when the Red Wolves football team goes through a live scrimmage starting at 6 p.m. at Centennial Bank Stadium.
Fans wishing to have a free Red Wolves license plate attached to their vehicles at the License to Howl event will need to use the south entrance to the track and field parking lot located on Olympic Drive across from the Convocation Center. Athletics staff, coaches, student-athletes, Howl, Scarlet and the A-State spirit squads will be in attendance to help bolt on the license plates.
A-State's Family Night will give fans the opportunity to watch the football team's 15th fall-camp practice that will feature a full-contact scrimmage. Posters and schedule cards will be available on Centennial Bank Stadium's east-side concourse. The concession areas (cash only) will be open, the A-State band will play throughout practice and the A-State spirit squads will be performing at the scrimmage.
Sponsored by the Arkansas State University Student Activities Board and Student Government Association, all A-State students are encouraged to visit the Party in the Pines on the east side of Centennial Bank Stadium from 4-6 p.m. to tailgate before the scrimmage. DJ King Vic will be providing music, free spirit items, and food.
Due to construction, the west-side stands will be closed Saturday and fans attending the scrimmage are asked to sit on the east side of Centennial Bank Stadium.
