Former juvenile detention guard charged with exposing minor to HIV

INDEPENDENCE COUNTY, AR (KAIT) -

Former White River Juvenile Detention Center guard, Bradley Kyle Hopper, faces more charges on Friday.

Hopper was charged with 4 counts of sexual assault in late June and now faces 2 more charged of exposing the same minor to HIV.

According to the Independence County Sheriff's Department, Hopper had sex with a 17 year old twice while he was a guard at the detention center.

The department charged Hopper with 2 counts of first degree sexual assault and 2 counts of second degree sexual assault.

The sheriff's department has now added 2 more charges to Hopper's list.

According to the report, Hopper did not reveal he had HIV to the inmate, causing the department to charge him with exposing HIV to an individual.

Hopper now faces a total of 6 charges.
