Valley View School District alerts parents after traffic confusion

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Some confusion concerning traffic in the Valley View School District caused the school to issue an alert to parents Friday morning.

Valley View Superintendent Bryan Russell asks parents to be patient when dropping off their children.

He also suggests parents drop their kids off in a single location instead of 2, depending on their destination.

“If you have a student at Junior High and Intermediate, drop them at 1 of those 2 locations and let them use the safe tunnel under the street that gets them to the other building and that way you only have to wait in 1 line,” Russell said.

Not only is this faster, Superintendent Russell said it is safer for the students.

He also suggests that parents arrive at the school between 7:15 and 7:30 in the morning to get in and out as quick as possible.
