JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Jonesboro crews worked a crash and diesel fuel spill Tuesday morning.

The spill is on Highway 63 in the northbound lane at the Southwest Drive exit, according to Jonesboro E911 Director Jeff Presley. The spill happened after a crash around 7 a.m.

Corporal Anthony Mattit with Arkansas State Police tells Region 8 News it was a two-vehicle accident and both drivers were northbound in the outside lane of Highway 63.

The driver of a food truck ran into the back of a construction truck that was in front of it, police said. Then the diesel spilled from the construction truck.

The drivers were reportedly okay, but 30 to 40 gallons of diesel fuel was spilled. Hazmat, fire and emergency management units were dispatched to clean the mess.

Drivers of the trucks went to the hospital as a precaution.
