City of Bono gets new logo

BONO, AR (KAIT) -

The city of Bono is getting a new look.

A new logo for the city of Bono was revealed at last week’s city council meeting.

Mayor Danny Shaw said there was plenty of positive reaction about the new signage.

Shaw said Graphix Advertising helped him design a look he thought represented Bono well.

He explained the train tracks were included because Bono was founded on train tracks in 1884.

The colors represent Bono’s beautiful sunsets, and rice and ducks are 2 staples in the community.

“Bono has had some bad press in the past,” Shaw said. “Some unfortunate things have happened that have made it on the news, and I’m trying to do anything we can do that would put Bono in a better light, positive light, and make the citizens more proud of their town.”

The city is also selling a license plate version of the logo. They cost $20 and the money raised will go to building a new park for the city.

Shaw said it will take time to get the signs around town, but they are working to order more signs to start changing the look of the city of Bono.

If you are interested in purchasing a license plate contact the Bono City Hall at 870-932-0100.
