Zaxby's workers give back to Paragould school

PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) - Zaxby's workers in Paragould have been giving back to the school community.

Workers from the fast food restaurant have been spending their mornings helping out in the Paragould Primary School's carpool line.

The workers volunteer from about 7:30 to 8 in the morning helping kids get out of their cars.

"We unbuckle their car seats and sometimes we walk them to class if they are scared or if they are crying we try to make them feel better," General Manager and Marketing Coordinator Mariah Bryson said.

Bryson said this is a selfless act the workers do to help brighten the kids' and their own days.

"Just seeing the kids in the morning, I know it's really early and you want to sleep in but seeing those kids and just how happy they are it just kind of brightens your day and you're like lets get this day going," employee Allie Davis said.

This is not the first year Zaxby's workers have volunteered their time.

"We have been doing this the past two years, we started last year and just do it during the school year," employee Jacob Terry said.

The workers said they enjoy seeing the kids in the morning and the school has appreciated the help.
