KENNETT, MO (KAIT) - Police called to a woman possibly needing help made a completely different discovery.
According to the Kennett Police Department, officers responded to wooded area between Blair and Bradley Street Wednesday evening for calls about a woman screaming.
Once on scene, officers heard the woman's screams and found her along with three men in some brush. Police said the woman was arguing with one of the men.
Upon further investigation, officers reportedly found two bags containing "several precursors" used in the making of methamphetamine.
The four Kennett residents were arrested and taken to the police department. Those individuals included Joshua George, 28, Randall Broadway, 53, James Odom, 32 and 20-year-old Kaitlin Shirmen.
George, according to police, ran from officers at the police department prior to being interviewed. He was caught and additionally arrested for escaping custody.
All four people were arrested for attempting to manufacture methamphetamine. Some individuals also had other warrants.
The group is in the Dunklin County Justice Center pending the filing of formal charges.
