Downtown Jonesboro preparing for A-State home games

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

The Downtown Jonesboro Association is ready to kick off football season with its home game tradition.

The first Pack Pride Weekend is on Sep. 11.

It all starts with the Big Great A-State Tailgated, hosted y the A-State committee of the Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce.

The event will start at 5:30 p.m.

It will feature live music, tailgates from local businesses, a special appearance from Howl and Scarlet and a Red Mile Parade from St. Bernards.

 “The A-State committee of the Jonesboro Chamber of Commerce is excited to help kick off Pack Pride Weekends with our Paint the Town Red Big Great A-State Tailgate,” Chair of the A-State Committee Dawn Layer said. “The tailgate will be great fun for everyone.”

There are several events scheduled for game days including a Red Wolves Launch Party at Gearhead on Sep. 18, the Stay Alive After Five Downtown Monster Run on Oct. 30 and a Downtown Gives Back Night scheduled for Dec. 4.

After every home game, Downtown retailers will also open their doors on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to host a Brunch and Browse.
