Teens arrested for shooting BB guns to break windows

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Two teenagers were arrested Saturday for shooting windows out of several vehicles over the past week, according to a Jonesboro police report.

The police report stated the 16 and 13 year olds were arrested for shooting windows out at Chuck E. Cheese's and the Bel-Aire Apartments on Sun Avenue. According to the report, one of the teens told police that his brother woke him up before they were able to get their hands on BB guns.

Before their arrest, police were dispatched to the area of Parkwood and Mary Jane shortly after noon on Saturday. Patrolman Brian Davis said he believed 1 of 2 detained juveniles was believed to have thrown a gun into a rose bush.

After telling the officer he didn't throw a gun into the bushes, "the juvenile stated that he had thrown a small silver Co2 cartridge into the bush", the report stated.

Both teens will appear in court Wednesday.
