BONO, AR (KAIT) -

Two Bono residents were cited for contributing to the delinquency of a minor after police found 14 people under the age of 21 had been drinking, according to a police report filed with the Craighead County Sheriff’s Department.

According to the report, John Menchaca, 41, of Bono and Maricella Quinonez, 42, of Bono were cited this weekend. Both will appear in court Tuesday.

In the police report, Deputy Bobby Swan reported that he was dispatched to a home on County Road 123 when several juveniles ran into the home. When Swan investigated, Menchaca and Quinonez said they were throwing a party for their son who graduated boot camp.

“I asked if anyone was drinking and Quinonez stated that they were but anyone under twenty-one wasn’t supposed to be,” Swan wrote in his narrative.

Swan and another deputy then made everyone under the age of 21 form a line and give a breath test.

Of the 14 who were underage, 3 were under the age of 18.
