Bootheel DTF Arrests Two, Recovers "Large" Amounts of Meth and Marijuana

HAYTI, MO - Two southeast Missouri men are in custody this morning following their arrests last night by agents with the Bootheel Drug Task Force and the Pemiscot County Sheriff's Department.

At approximately 7 p.m., DTF agents and deputies executed a search warrant at a residence at 124 County Highway 347 near Hayti.  There, agents located and seized large amounts of methamphetamine and marijuana, as well as several chemicals and other ingredients used in the manufacture of meth.

Two suspects were taken into custody.  After being handcuffed, one of the men fled on foot and hid under some tree limbs in a small pond next to the residence.  He was apprehended a short time later.

The names of the suspects have not yet been released.  They are described as two white males, ages 23 and 24.
