Paragould man seriously hurt in crash

DUNKLIN COUNTY, MO (KAIT) -

A Paragould man was seriously hurt Tuesday night in a single-vehicle crash.

The crash happened around 10 p.m. on Highway 164, two miles west of Rieves in Dunklin County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Michael R. Thompson, 35, was eastbound when his 1993 Chevy S-10 pickup truck ran off the road, struck a ditch and overturned.

Thompson was taken to Great Rivers Medical Center in Blytheville with serious injuries.

In an unrelated report, a Campbell woman was flown to the Elvis Presley Trauma Center in Memphis following an ATV crash early Tuesday morning.

Trista D. Beltz, 27, was riding an ATV on Dunklin County Road 232 around 12:52 a.m. when the vehicle ran off the road and struck a ditch, according to the crash report.

Beltz was partially thrown from the vehicle and suffered serious injuries.
