BROOKLAND, AR (KAIT) - The Brookland school district has a brand new turf football field for the season.
The field was completed just in time for the first senior high game this season on September 11.
Thursday morning the administration and athletic department did a walk through on the field to make sure it was complete and ready to play on.
"Everything was how we wanted it, up to par and it's above and beyond what we thought it would look like and we are really excited about it," Head Football Coach Chuck Speer said.
During the first game, the school will hold a dedication in the beginning for all the sponsors and donors to the field.
The football stadium will be named Jordan's Stadium in honor of major donor, Jordan's Kwik Stop.
While the field is complete, the school and booster club said they are always looking for more sponsors because the project is not done yet.
The athletic department would like to add a track around the field and expand the press box.
