Drug bust yields over a pound of meth, guns, money

MOUNTAIN HOME, AR (KAIT) - Thousands of dollars worth of drugs was seized in what police call a "major meth bust."

Three people were arrested following the bust in Mountain Home at a residence on Circle Drive on Tuesday, according to Mountain Home Police Chief Carry Manuel.

Manuel said the arrests are the result of a "lengthy drug investigation during the past several months." The investigation was initiated by officers with the Baxter County Sheriff's Office and 14th Judicial District Drug Task Force.

During the execution of a search warrant, Manuel said officers found over a pound and a half (672 grams) of methamphetamine with a street value of $65,000. Officers also found two guns and about $1,450 in cash.

A camper and 1999 Ford Expedition were also seized.

Bleaz Espinoza Molina, Adan Sanchez and Omar Vazquez were arrested and charged in the case.

Molina, 39, of Texas was charged with trafficking of a controlled substance. Bond was set at $100,000.

Sanchez, 45, and Vazquez, 49, both of Mountain Home were charged by federal warrants of arrest for distribution of a controlled substance and aiding and abetting. Both were held without bond and will be prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney's Office, Western District of Arkansas.

All three were taken to the Baxter County Jail. Molina in the jail according to the sheriff's department website.
