STEELE, MO (KAIT) - A Steele man is being held in lieu of a $200,000 bond after police say he raped a woman at his home.

Michael Allred, 30, is charged with second-degree rape.

According to a news release from Police Chief Billy Joe Stanfield, a Holland woman reported on Sept. 1 that she had been sexually assaulted.

The alleged incident, Stanfield said, occurred at Allred's home.

Officers arrested Allred following their investigation and questioning of the suspect.

Allred is currently being held in the Pemiscot County Jail.
