A-State sees an increase in enrollment numbers

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Things are looking up at Arkansas State University.

The enrollment numbers for this fall are in and the Jonesboro campus saw a 2.2% increase since last year.

Campus records show 13,140 students are enrolled for the fall semester.

"We have a lot of really great faculty who have really taken the challenge of being able to teach online and so we see a pretty good growth there," Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs Dr. Rick Stripling said. "But we also see a growth in the two-year and four-year transfers and then also with our international students."

A-State offers 19 degrees and certificates online, making it the state's largest university online program.
