JETS to transport visitors to and from A-State football game

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

The A-State Red Wolves football team is gearing up to play the Missouri Tigers at the university’s home opener on Saturday, September 12.

The Jonesboro Economic Transportation System (JETS) is providing transportation to and from the game.

Visitors can board a JETS bus at the City of Jonesboro Parking lot located on Cate Avenue and Church Street in downtown Jonesboro at the following times:

  • 3:00 p.m.
  • 3:20 p.m.
  • 3:40 p.m.
  • 4:00 p.m.
  • 4:15 p.m.
  • 4:30 p.m.
  • 4:45 p.m.
  • 5:00 p.m.
  • 5:10 p.m.
  • 5:20 p.m.
  • 5:30 p.m.

Passengers will be dropped off just outside of Gate 11 of the Centennial Bank Stadium.

With 10 minutes left on the game clock, JETS will begin boarding passengers near Gate 11 to return to the City of Jonesboro Parking Lot.

The last bus will depart the stadium 20 minutes after the game is finished.

Passengers will have to pay a fare for each way.

  • Adults $1.25
  • .90 for students with a current student I.D.
  • .60 for senior citizens, disabled, Youth (ages 6-18) and veterans (with a Veteran’s pass)
  • Children under the age of 6 are free

Steve Ewart, director of the JETS transit service, said this service will be available at every home football game.

“It gives us another opportunity to be on that Regional stage and perform like a Regional hub and a metropolitan area,” Ewart said.
