WEINER, AR (KAIT) -

A city council meeting in Weiner was postponed Wednesday night after two council members were arrested in separate cases.

According to an incident report from the Poinsett County Sheriff's Department, Reagan Bodeker, 34, of Weiner was charged with third degree domestic battery and second degree terroristic threatening. Bodeker is a city council member.

Just after 1:30 a.m. Wednesday the sheriff's department was called to a home on Huber Drive.

The report states Justin Bodeker, Reagan's husband, called 911 and said was "holding his wife to keep her from getting a gun."

Deputy Bobby New made contact with the pair.

Justin told the officer he and his wife got into an argument and she hit him "twice or so in the jaw." New was told by Justin that Reagan then retrieved a pistol case containing a loaded 9 millimeter.

The husband continued to tell New that to keep Reagan from using the gun he held onto her. She then, according to the report, bit the man's arms and headbutted him while he was calling police.

In a separate case, city council member Timothy Hewitt was arrested for possession of a controlled substance following a traffic stop Tuesday afternoon.

There is no word on when the city council will meet again.
