SIKESTON, MO (KAIT) -

Two Sikeston residents were taken into custody and one is now facing drug charges after police searched their home.

The Sikeston Department of Public Safety obtained a search warrant Tuesday from an ongoing heroin investigation.

That search warrant was served by the Sikeston Special Operations Group at a house on Cole Street around 7 p.m.

The search turned up nearly $4,000 in cash, 3.4 grams of heroin, 2.2 grams of cocaine, 30 Xanax pills, a 4.5 caliber pistol and other drug paraphernalia.

Two people in the home, Dionne Booker Wingo and Lester Wingo, were taken into custody on warrants unrelated to the search.

Police later charged Dione, 43, of Sikeston with three counts of possession and distribution of a controlled substance.

She was given a $25,000 cash only bond and taken to the Scott County Jail.
