POPLAR BLUFF, MO (KAIT) - The Poplar Bluff Police Department is the most recent Region 8 law enforcement group to add a new sticker to their patrol vehicles.
They've added decals that say "God Bless America".
They posted a photo on Facebook Wednesday evening thanking 4M Signs for donating the decals.
Some residents commented on the post commending the department for adding the stickers.
Others said it is a violation of the separation of church and state.
This comes after the Freedom from Religion Foundation has threatened legal action against other law enforcement agencies in Region 8 who have added "In God We Trust" decals to their vehicles.
That Wisconsin-based group has threatened to sue the Cave City Police Department.
The City of Osceola also put the national motto on all of its city-owned vehicles.
