Construction workers recently unearthed a piece of history at Arkansas State University.
A number of bricks were discovered from the original Wilson Hall structure that was built in 1910.
Dr. Ruth Hawkins with A-State said if they can recover the items intact they hope to display them for everyone to see.
“We'll probably create an exhibit over at the Kays House when we get that house finished and have an exhibit there that would both show the foundation as well as some of the individual bricks,” Dr. Hawkins said.
Dr. Hawkins said the bricks are stamped with the word Jonesboro, meaning they are from the old Jonesboro Brick Company established in 1900.
