Student accused of bringing stun gun to school

BLYTHEVILLE, AR (KAIT) - A female student was arrested after police say she brought a stun gun to school.

The arrest reportedly happened at the Blytheville Middle School on Friday, Sept. 18.

Capt. Scott Adams with the Blytheville Police Department confirmed to Region 8 News that the girl is accused of bringing the device to school and chasing other students with it the day before in gym class.

Administrators with the middle school questioned the girl, but she refused to talk with them. Police later seized the device when the girl's bag was searched.

The student was released to her grandmother, but taken into custody shortly after and charged with carrying a stun gun.
